What's Happening?
Last Newsletter for Seniors
This is the last newsletter that
will be sent out to seniors – good luck in the future wherever you go and
come visit the band whenever you can! As a graduating senior mom, this is
also my last newsletter to write – thank you all for being such a great
band and band booster organization!

Guard!
We have 27 members of the Fall 2008
Nease Field Guard – wow! The Weapon Line will be comprised
of: Emily Andries, Sarah Edmonds, Caitlin Heighes, Brittany Kilpatrick,
Jenna Logsdon, Kim Nall, Sarah Swartzberg, Maddie Telese, James Weaver &
Michelle Weaver and the Flag Line will be: Lauren Blumberg, De’Shawna
Boone, Katelyn Brennan, Tabitha Carey, Brittany Dirks, Taylor Dole, Lauren DuVal, Stevi Gallaher, Emily
Keeney, Haley Klein, Bianca Sanchez, Laine Simpson, Danielle Thomas, Camille
Tinnin, Olivia Tinnin, Morgan Wentland & Yasmine Zakaria.

Spring Band Concert Tomorrow Evening
The Nease Concert Band will be
performing at 7 pm
in the PAC for their final concert of the year. All parents are
invited. Students should arrive at 6 pm in their concert attire.
Fall Percussion Auditions tomorrow; New
uniform sizing June 3
The percussion will be having
their auditions for the fall marching band tomorrow after school. Next
Tuesday June 3 after school the percussion team will be measured for new
percussion uniforms. We need to pay for the uniforms to order them, so a $60
payment is due June 3rd as well.
This $60 is part of the normal $300 annual
student band fee. The remaining $240 is due in payments later.
Important Guard Parent/Student
Meeting Tues. June 3
There is a guard parent &
student meeting at 6:30 pm on Tuesday June 3 in the band room for the 2008 Field Guard Team. WE WILL BE MEASURING YOU FOR YOUR UNIFORMS at this meeting! Your
first field guard payment of $100 will also be due so that we can place the
order. If you are unable to attend this meeting, contact us immediately
to schedule a time to be measured and to turn in the monies. We cannot
order your uniform without measurements and payment! Flags, rifles
and sabers will also be available to be checked out at this meeting. This
year there will be a $25.00 refundable equipment deposit required for all
students who will be checking out flags, rifles and sabers. This deposit
is due when the equipment is issued.

Thanks to Jean Rolke and her banquet
committee for a wonderful banquet!
Spring Football Game Concessions &
Donation
Thank you to the concession
workers who volunteered at last week’s game. There was a good crowd and
we did great on concession sales. We are sending a $100 donation to the Wesley
Whiddon Bereavement Fund in memory of the football player that Fleming Island lost in a tragic accident earlier this month.

June 3
All percussion students are taking
pre-orders for Nease Flip Flops – Get your order in fast! Pre-orders
are due June 3 after school. Contact Susan Cummick at scummick@aol.com for more information.
