    Dear Band and Guard Families:

    Just a friendly reminder that Friday, September 3 is our first home game against Fletcher.

    The kids should wear their band t-shirt to school.

    They will stay after school for a rehearsal and then eat together before the game. They will then march out during pregame activities. Remember that they cannot leave that evening after the game until they are dismissed by their section leader.

    Students need to bring to school on Friday:

    Schedule for the week:

     

    Monday 4:00 - 5:30 -- Band Practice

    Tuesday 4:00 - 5:30 -- Guard Practice

    Wednesday 3:00 - 5:30 -- Band and Guard Practice

    Friday 4:00 - until -- First home football game against Fletcher
  • Concession Stand Update and Bib Hemming

    Band and Guard Parents:

    We got word this week that our new concession stand building will now not be delievered until Monday of next week.  Therefore, we will not need help this Saturday, 8/28.  We will need assistance next Saturday (9/4) instead.  The time will be announced.

    In order to sell concession at our first game (9/3) we will need volunteers to bring coolers full of ice.  If you can assist please contact Michi Clendening at mrclendening (at) clearwire (dot) net.

  • Competition Dates

    Dear Band and Guard Parents:

    The following dates are our competition dates for marching season.  These are all on Saturdays so please plan accordingly.

    10/9-Middleburg

    10/30-Santa Fe

    11/6-FBA at Fleming High School

    11/20-State (in Tampa if we qualify and we have funds to attend)

    Also, don't forget to come out to assist Mr. Billy Smith on Friday 8-27 at 4:00 ( behind the school) with our props for the marching show and Saturday to help with our new concession stand.  We will let you know the time for Saturday soon!

    Hello Nease Band Families,
     
     
    It was great to see so many of you on Friday night. The band gave a great performance. It is just a glimpse of what they will do this season. Many thanks go out to all of those who volunteered Saturday for the Jamboree and Paw Painting. We had a good crowd and the band gave a great performance of stands tunes.
  • Marching Shoes fitting and Concession Stand Construction!

    Hello Nease Band!
     

    Here is an interesting combination of items for you!

    Reminder for students: Please try on your band shoes! The shoe representative will be at school tomorrow, August 18, to measure for marching shoes. Please make sure your existing ones fit and if they don't, please make sure you get measured for new shoes tomorrow!
     

    For Parents: As many of you know, we are building a new construction stand! We need the following items to build out the interior to meet the new state code:

  • Help needed RIGHT NOW!

    Hello Nease Band!

    Your help is needed this morning, Saturday, August 14 at the Shnack, which is in the process of being torn down to make way for our new concession stand! Band dads and kids are currently at the site, but more help would be fabulous.

    Wear your old clothes and bring work gloves. Mr. Smith, who is spearheading the project, has all the tools needed except the manpower.

    No need to reply; just show up at the Shnack as soon as possible! Band kids, this is a great opportunity for you to pitch in as well, as SERVICE HOURS will be awarded!
  • UPCOMING BAND CAMP AND EVENTS

    Dear Band and Guard Families:

    The new school year and marching season is upon us. There are many things happening in the band and much information that you need to keep informed.

    BAND CAMP:

    Starts Monday (tomorrow) at 9:00 AM. BE ON TIME! If you arrive at 9:00 you are late.

    Please remember to bring:

    -all forms filled out-if you do not have medical form turned in by the beginning of the day you may not be able to participate. If you need forms they can be found on the Nease Band website: neaseband (dot) org.
