Nease Band Boosters

Welcome to the Nease Band Boosters!

Our booster organization provides the funding necessary to pay for new instruments, uniforms, clinician fees, music, our marching drill, hardship and senior merit scholarships, travel costs and many other valuable services not covered by the annual fees. The Band Boosters also will provide individual fund-raising opportunities to help students pay for their annual band fee or fall guard fee. View our Bylaws here.

All parents of band and guard students are automatically members of the Nease Band Boosters. The only requirement that we ask is that one parent of each student sign up for one shift in our band concession stand at our home football games. We would also appreciate any other volunteer support that you can give – we need everyone’s help!

Band Parent Volunteer Information:

Every volunteer needs to turn in a St. Johns County Schools Volunteer Application Form, even if you have already filled one out at another school. If you have not filled one out for Nease in the past two years, please fill out both back and front pages. Here is a link to the online form.

St. Johns County tracks volunteer hours worked at each school. Please document your hours monthly and submit them via this website below.

If you purchase goods or supplies on behalf of the Boosters and need reimbursement, please utilize the Reimbursement Request Form. Just print it out, fill it out, and submit it to Treasurer Sherry Zastera along with your receipts.

Chaperones:

Band parents chaperone all football games, home and away, as well as FBA and FBMC events. Chaperones for away games and performances need to be aware that they must be available to ride the bus with the students to and from the event. Siblings are not allowed.

We utilize an online volunteer scheduler known as Sign Up Genius. Watch for the emailed invitation to sign up to volunteer at fall marching events including football games, marching band competitions and other fundraising events. Simply click the link and sign up online! Sign Up Genius may also be accessed directly at www.signupgenius.com. Search for Nease Band (bandatneaseatyahoo [dot] com). This is a great way to get to know your fellow boosters!

Below is the link for the order form our band parent chaperone shirt. Please note that we have two different styles/materials of shirts this year! We request that all chaperones wear this polo shirt when accompanying the band!

The Band Stand:

The Band Boosters runs its own concession stand, known as the Band Stand (formerly "The Shnack"), on the visitor side at all home games. We ask that one parent of each student sign up for one shift in the Band Stand at our home football games. As a chaperone or concession volunteer, you pay no admission to the game. We need workers for the concession stand for each home game.

Matching Funds from your Employer:

Many employers will match funds that you donate to a not-for-profit organization (i.e. Nease High School Band Boosters) or they will recognize your volunteer hours with a cash donation. The Nease Band Boosters are a 501(c) (3) organization and donations are tax deductible. If your employer has a matching funds program, please pursue these donations!
